Stocking Fillers!

In response to the many, many, MANY questions about stocking fillers on our social media pages, I just had to write a little list of my favourite stocking fillers in the hope of providing some inspiration!

 

There are so many wonderful bits and pieces out there to pop in little ones stockings that don't have to cost the earth but will provide more entertainment than a piece of plastic tat- because we all have enough of that already don't we!!

 

So here's my quick list of stocking filler suggestions! Please note, I have tagged some small businesses but these are not paid or gifted ads, they are just amazing people creating amazing products and I wanted to share them with you!

 

1. Little Brian Paint Sticks- these are fab and they now have lots of varieties in the range for mess free art! @littlebrianart

 

2. Stickers- of any type! kids love stickers!!

 

3. Cotton Twist personalised tins and activity sets- all really sweet! This is not an ad, I have just got some party bag fillers for Masons birthday and they are amazing value! @cottontwist

 

4. Personalised pencil case/ bag/ notebooks- because kids love to see their names on things!

 

5. Puppets- hand or finger puppets are great! Ikea and Primark have lovely ones for cheap!

 

6. Bath Toys- animals, boats or I like the funnels from Amazon, we've just them a lot this year!

 

7. Musical Instruments- Tiger have some lovely ones in at the moment! Not an ad!

 

8. Flash Cards- either number or letter, or Top Trump style cards for their interests! @the_jam_tart do really lovely ones with great designs!

 

9. Bath Tablets- amazing for making colour baths!! I use the ones from Amazon and they last ages!

 

10. Imagistones are so cute, so versatile and come in a variety of themes- @imagistones

 

11. Play dough and cutters- maybe a cool vibrant colour with a funky cutter? You could always make your own and pop in a jar or container?

 

12. Baking Sets from @zacadlilybake are very cute!

 

13. Small Print Books have some really lovely board books to add to your collection! @smallprintbooks

 

14. Wooden Peg Polls or DIY versions from Hobbycraft are fab!

 

15. Ticket, what about a ticket to go somewhere fun? The cinema, zoo, farm! Make your own!

 

16. Magnet or fuzzy felt sets are lovely for older children!

 

17. Puzzles or small games from Orchard Toys are amazing!

 

18. Stib Colouring pencils are really lovely with encouraging words on the end! @stib_ltd

 

19. T-shirt/ hat/ gloves are always nice to have! I like personalised t-shirts from @primroseandbear and super trendy hats by @littlehotdogwatson

 

20. Chocolate coins, of course I had to include chocolate somewhere!!

 

 

 

And a couple of items for babies!

 

1. Yummikeys- stainless steel teetching toys which are fab! @yummikeys

 

2. Personalised Puzzles from @peekaboo_puzzles with photos are sooo cute!

 

3. Usborne, Thats not my book with puppet are lovely or Jane Foster board books are beautiful! @pipandcherry have the most gorgeous handmade ‘my name books’ for babies too!

 

4. Sensory Scarves- lots available on amazon

 

5. Lights! light wands from Tiger are great!

 

6. Flash cards from The Little Black and White Book Project are wonderful for young babies! @the_little_bw_book_project

 

7. Personalised material books with photos are stunning by @my1stphotos

 

8. Stacking cups- you will use these more than you think! I get mine from B&M stores

 

9. Plate and cup sets from supermarkets are really lovely!

 

10. Chunky Crayons- I like the egg shaped ones from Crayola for little hands to start making marks!

 

 

 

And finally....

 

I hate to blow my own trumpet, but for a cheap gift that would provide lots of entertainment, don't forget we've got our playPROMPTS and particularly the mini packs would make fab stocking fillers!!
